The Next Chapter
Five years ago, a dream was put into motion — a dream of creating a sacred healing sanctuary for deep healing, spiritual connection, and nature therapy. We had our property but needed supportive healing structures and spaces.
With the help of many generous hearts and loving hands, we built:
A ceremonial yurt for healing ceremonies, group classes, and seasonal celebrations.
A fire circle for communal prayer and sacred rituals of release & renewal.
A labyrinth for inspiration, reflection, and connecting to inner guidance.
Walking paths & camp sites in the area closest to the house for connecting with nature.
The sanctuary has become a home for healing retreats, renewal, connection, and growth. People have come from near and far to be held in a safe space, heal their hearts, restore their spirits, regain hope, and transform their lives. The journeys they have embarked on have not only transformed them but have rippled out to benefit their families, workplaces, and communities. We are proud of what we have accomplished in five short years.
Now, it’s time build on the solid foundation we created and step into the next chapter of the sanctuary’s evolution — and we would love your support. We are raising funds for three key projects listed below. Your gift will not only make these enhancements possible, but also sustain a sanctuary where more people can heal, connect, and embody their truest selves.
Every contribution matters. Scroll down for the details of the plan and fundraiser and click below to contribute. We hope you will join us in helping bring this dream into reality. Together, we can create a more expansive, welcoming, and sustainable sanctuary for years to come. We’re grateful for all contributions and would like to express our appreciation through some Gratitude Gifts, which you can scroll down to view.

Casita Picaflor
One of our main goals in this next chapter is to provide the best retreat experiences for healers and teachers seeking a sacred space to hold their small group workshops, ceremonies, and classes. Facilitating group retreats of any kind can be very tiring. By building a cozy, comfortable space separate from the main house to sleep 2, we hope to provide a peaceful space for facilitators to rest and replenish (or have their students stay in if they wish). This sweet space will be named Casita Picaflor and the main house will be called Casa Halcon.
Forest Bathing Trail Expansion
Inspired by the amazing benefits of the Japanese nature therapy called Shinrin-Yoku, meaning Forest Bathing, we had hoped during phase 1 of the sanctuary development to create walking paths and meditation nooks throughout the beautiful 4.4 acres of forested oak and manzanita trees. Due to other more pressing needs, we were only able to do this in the area closest to the house. Now, we are ready to create a full loop trail providing guests richer healing with nature experiences. This trail will traverse our seasonal creek and have resting spots for contemplation.
Upgraded Facilities & Storage
The small compost toilet sheds that are necessary to have close to the yurt were damaged during a storm, so we would like to build a bigger, more durable structure to house upgraded compost toilet(s) and essential storage space. These upgrades will greatly add to the comfort and convenience of students and guests. The storage space will also house hammocks, swings, and related items to enhance rest/rejuvenation while forest bathing. This upgraded structure will be called Little Loo.
Fire Mitigation + Beautification
Fire mitigation is a crucial area of focus that continues to evolve. We were advised by a fire safety specialist to place pea gravel around our fire circle and to clear some more brush. We plan to clear brush, expand the seating area of the fire pit, add pea gravel, and possibly put the fire pit in ground. We will also add some more pea gravel near the yurt, place a railing on the stairs, and create a Blessingway area where the old unused garden area was.
How You Can Help
Please support and be part of this next chapter of our sanctuary’s growth and expansion by contributing to our fundraiser and sending your prayers and blessings. Having all our energies, prayers, blessings, and donations makes the sanctuary a beautiful, collective co-creation and allows us to grow and expand our offerings.
Our Goal: $50k in 5 Months
Casita Picaflor = $40,000
Forest Bathing Trail Completion = $4,500
Little Loo = $15,000
Fire Mitigation & Beautification = $5,500
Total = $65,0000
I hope you will join us in helping bring this dream into reality. To thank you for supporting the growing vision of our healing sanctuary, we’ve put together some Gratitude Gifts.
Gratitude Gifts
